| Maquet to replace Forbes as Ingram’s EMEA boss |

Distribution giant Ingram Micro has appointed Alain Maquet as president of its EMEA operation effective July 1st 2009. Maquet is replacing current EMEA president Jay Forbes who is resigning from the company at the end of June and returning to his native Canada. Maquet, currently president of Ingram Micro Latin America, has vast experience of the European market. In his new EMEA role, Maquet will continue to report to Alain Monie, president and COO at Ingram Micro.

The 2010 programme will recognise partners’ existing credentials, educing the number of entry requirements for current Preferred Partners and saving them significant administrative time in qualifying.

Microsoft has recruited former Motorola marketing executive Jeremy Dale as EMEA regional VP of retail sales and marketing for its entertainment and devices division. In his new role, Dale will attempt to expand the reach of Microsoft consumer products and strengthen the brand within EMEA. Dale will report to Microsoft corporate VP Mitch Koch.
