OCZ showcases diverse portfolio at XXL OCZ Technology Group is showcasing its diverse solutions portfolio at DISTREE XXL this week as the vendor targets further channel expansion in the EMEA region. OCZ strives to deliver increased margins by offering new breakthrough products and technologies for its distribution partners to take to market.
Tobias Brinkmann, director of EMEA marketing at OCZ, said: “OCZ owns the patents for many pioneering technologies and licences. OCZ has loyal customer groups including enthusiasts and early adopters. Over the past year we have diversified our product portfolio, offering high quality products at an affordable price to gamers and mainstream computer users.”
OCZ’s product portfolio includes premium memory modules, mobile memory, flash storage (including solid state drives), power supplies, cooling solutions and peripherals.
OCZ also produces the neural impulse actuator, a product that it claims marks a new era in gaming, recording bioelectrical signals and recognising facial movements and transferring them into commands to deliver a completely new gaming experience.
“OCZ also offers a line of highly customisable and highly configurable whitebook solutions in both the 17” and 15” platforms. Designed to make it easier than ever for partners to take full advantage of the benefits of building their very own gaming notebook, OCZ’s DIY programme allows consumers to build a high performance notebook with their own configuration in just a few easy to follow steps,” added Brinkmann.
OCZ hopes to meet both existing and potential distributors at DISTREE XXL, using the event as a platform to drive channel expansion across the EMEA region. OCZ sees growth opportunities across the region especially within the Middle East.
“OCZ was founded by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. An innovator in many areas, OCZ was the first manufacturer to make dual channel optimised memory available to the public and is continuing to release innovations such as the esata throttle drive and the neural impulse actuator,” continued Brinkmann.
“Our engineers are constantly developing the fastest and best performing products,” claimed Brinkmann. “Our finance department works every angle to bring customers our product at the best possible price. Our marketing department ensures all the information needed to make an informed purchase is available and presented in an easy to understand format.”
“The technical support department constantly studies and tests the latest hardware to be as informed as possible to help you with any issue you may have. Our customer service department is filled with customer satisfaction fanatics who will refuse to let you be unsatisfied. We support our customers with existing marketing and sales programs and tailor those where necessary to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and return,” explained Brinkmann.
OCZ claims that its brand recognition has increased in recent years, transforming from a brand that only hardcore enthusiasts had heard of, to become a recognised high-end components manufacturer in EMEA.
“Even during these tough times, we believe we can tackle and continue to grow our market share due to a diverse product offering and a strong channel,” said Brinkmann. “The mobile segment is continuing to grow and our notebook and flash products are essential in achieving our goals going forward.”
The DISTREE XXL format includes pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings between vendors and distributors, conference sessions, workshops and networking opportunities. Speakers include Julian Dent, Chairman of channel management consultancy VIA International, plus Pascal Bollon, Worldwide Director of IT Products at research giant GfK.
DISTREE XXL attracts distributors from across EMEA, including delegates from emerging markets such as the Middle East, Africa, Russia and CIS. The event serves vendors that are new to the region as well as those looking to expand or deepen their distribution reach.
DISTREE XXL 2009 will also host the ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2009 Awards’ at a gala dinner taking place on Wednesday 11th February. Positioned as the first EMEA-wide vendor neutral channel awards, the ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2009 Awards’ will feature live electronic voting to determine the winners of the eight vendor awards and nine distributor awards up for grabs. |
