HP tweaks partner programme for 2010 IT colossus HP will simplify the 2010 entry process to its preferred partner programme for existing reseller members. The 2010 programme will recognise partners’ existing credentials, educing the number of entry requirements for current Preferred Partners and saving them significant administrative time in qualifying.
“HP’s industry-leading preferred partner programme demonstrates our commitment to the channel by affording our partners a broad range of benefits to enhance business development and stimulate profitable growth,” said Antoine Barre, VP SPO at HP EMEA.
“Given the programme’s proven ability to deliver on the needs of its members and the importance of maintaining stability in the current environment, we will be making only minimal changes to the 2010 programme. We will also be making it easier for our partners to do business with HP in what undoubtedly remains a challenging time for them,” he added.
The programme will recognise existing 2009 credentials, including the partner fundamentals training and other certifications, providing time and cost-saving benefits to eligible partners. 2009 preferred partners that have already met certification requirements now only need to meet the new revenue criteria to gain entry into the 2010 programme.
HP’s new simplified imaging and printing (I&P) will also form part of the 2010 programme, giving partners the opportunity to benefit from sales-related bonuses and special pricing on the I&P products and services portfolio.
HP is also consolidating its hardware and supplies businesses under a single accreditation programme, providing partners with greater flexibility to choose their own market offering, while opening up new sales opportunities. Partners will also be provided with a single HP point of contact to streamline communications and enable more efficient, lower-cost account management.
HP claims that its 2010 preferred partner programme is designed to increase growth, profitability and satisfaction amongst top HP resellers and their customers.
HP’s preferred partner programme provides members with a broad set of benefits including training, use of the preferred partner logo, HP account management and special pricing. HP’s 2010 preferred partner programme will be effective November 1st, 2009. |
